Fitness: Although there is a support vehicle you will still need to carry basic stuff like warm/rain clothes, basic spares, enough hydration and food for a couple of hours. So a good level of fitness is definitely advisable.

Bicycle: The terrain is unforgiving. Don’t let it catch you out.

Lots of: Sense of humour, sense of adventure.

Clothes and spares: You will be supplied with a bag to pack your clothes and spares. This will go with the support vehicle from stop to stop. You will need to carry some stuff as the support vehicle can not follow the riders around, but meet up with the riders from time to time.

Food: If you have special energy drinks and food that you need during the day, bring it along and pack in your bag. The tour is fully catered, and this vary from pap and braaivleis to luxury 5 course meals. From musely and yoghurt to full english breakfasts. Lunch will be sandwiches, eggs and fruit in season like avo, bananas, apples, etc...
